Dream proposal

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend, whom I'm madly in love with, by having a plane fly over her house spelling "Marry me Abby?" After seeing it, she locked herself in her room and cried for hours, exclaiming that this wasn't how she wanted to be proposed to. I'd invited my entire family. FML

she should have been thankful, because that's incredibly sweet. i don't understand the obsession with proposals as long as you're genuinely in love and propose in a way that shows you care.

I've only known one other person who had a fiance who bitched about the WAY her boyfriend proposed. She turned out to be insane, and they ended up splitting up. If she's seriously going to cry because you didn't propose how she wanted you to, it's time to break up.

ugh. all the people saying there's nothing wrong with that must be guys. no girl wants to be proposed to like that. its tacky and not romantic. if you actually knew her well enough to marry her and if you're really madly in love with her, you should know that she would want something a little more private and romantic.

sounds like Abby from dorm life. (the web series) LOL

Wth ? That's a great proposal , tell her to get the **** outta her stry book and jump into reality

shes a total snob who made a fool of herself heres my advice find a new girl

that is so original and so sweet.. aww! :( im sorry.. find a new girl.. im sure 98 % of females would appreciate that.

That was such an awesome way of proposing to a girl, you must have spent lots of time and money on it too. What a pity, some girls just don't know how to appreciate such things. Hope you had a talk with her and worked things out!

Has it ever crossed your minds that some girls don't like the idea of having a wacky, original proposal? Perhaps they'd prefer a nice, quiet evening meal out, & then their partner getting down on one knee & proposing? That sure as hell was how I'd imagined mine. (Wasn't how it happened, but oh well) On the other hand, crying about it for four hours isn't exactly the best way of handling it. She should have just accepted or rejected his proposal, based on how she felt for him.

I personally would love to be proposed to like that(but I'm only 13 so what do I know) I love things that are wierd and different I would just be happy someone I love wants to marry me but I'm not like other girls so...

omg. what you did was amazingly ******* sweet. what a stuck up bitch. if a guy proposed to me that way it'd be terribly hard to say no!!

Women are incredibly moody, irrational and manipulative. Go gay.
