Healthcare scandal

By itsjustnotfair - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, my dentist asked me about my fillings, so I told him that when I was younger, I had 2 cavities. He replied, "No you didn't. I just looked at your x-rays." Turns out my old dentist ripped me off. I never needed fillings. FML

that's malpractice! He could get in serious trouble for that, such as having his license revoked. I would report him. He could potentially hurt someone, not to mention scamming many people, and the healthcare system.

Now I wanna be a dentist when I grow up.

These FMLs make me depressed. My friend got banned and ugh.. FML Anyway, dentists pretty much suffer from the fucktard syndrome.

I've had that happen before. I went to a dentist and they said I had 4 cavitites. Went to a different dentist, they said I only had 1.

BWAHAHAHAHA! You. Got. ******!!! Thats hilarious. FYL.

You said yourself you had 2 cavities *when you were younger*. Are you sure they were not in baby teeth that then fell out? The only filling I've ever received was in a baby tooth, and guess what? It's not there anymore! Don't automatically assume dentists are the scum of the earth.

Just because he said 'when he was younger' doesn't mean when he still had his baby teeth.

If they were baby teeth and then fell out, not only would the cavities no longer be there, but neither would the fillings.

YOu've only had two fillings your whole life? Wow, you're lucky.

Word. I just got three fillings last month...

I've had a crappy dentist before too, went to them as a kid, said my teeth were fine, then when I moved the next one said I had dental problems - that were true, proven by x-rays - and if I didn't get them fixed, I'd have permanantly messed up teeth. Now I stay away from anyone not highly recommended by friends, or if they don't have all kinds of authentic awards proving their skill.
