High hopes

Today, I ran into one of my teachers from high school. When I told her I'd just recently graduated college and was starting graduate school in the fall, she said, "You don't have to lie, some people just aren't cut out for college. There's no shame." I wasn't lying, I graduated with honors too. FML

then tell her that, and also add that your degree is probably ranked a little higher than an ordinary high school teacher's degree.

You know what, your life isn't F'd, and you didn't deserve this. Even if you were a poor student in high school, or that you slacked off, or whatever, you've proven to yourself, and to the admissions board at your graduate school, that you are a power to be reckoned with. Who cares what your old teacher thinks. You've already proved you can succeed, and you're just going to do it again. Congratulations!

Apparently, some people just are not cut out for teaching........

Your teacher is a HUGE BITCH. There's no other way to put it.

No need to cry. You just proved yourself better than that bitch!! ;)

just would have told them, " sorry to hear about your jealousy issues, and by the way you sucked as a teacher! "

Woah. I just moderated this one. In the exact same words. OP, This is hilarious, your teacher didn't believe in you. Way to prove her wrong. Were you an idiot in high school or something, though.

Typo. At the end I put a . instead of a question mark. The period looks mean. Just correcting that.

Were you an idiot or something though? Not though. Sorry, typo. Sounds like I'm calling OP an idiot.

If you graduated with honors, then don't let it get to you. You succeeded, and you know it. That's all that matters.

maybe op was a bad student in her class, thus making her believe that he isn't successful?
