You have reasonable grounds to sue for breach of your employment contract. Do you have a valid doctor's note? you will most likely need it as evidence towards wrongful termination. Consult with a lawyer, if you win the case (which you should) your employer will have to foot the bill as part of the remedies awarded to you in court.

I agree with this person. If you have a doctor's note, a report from a hospital stay, or a police report about this, they won't be able to get away with this kind of shit if you taken them to court.

how many days have you been home already, where were you shot and what's your job. if you plan on staying home for the entire recovery period then don't expect them to hold your job unless you filed a leave of absence
