Today, my boyfriend introduced me to his family. They were drinking and having fun, so I joined in. I had one too many, got really goofy, and then suggested the farting game. "Sorry, I can't hold my liquor!" I quickly explained. My boyfriend's mom shot me a cold look and said, "It's non-alcoholic." FML

Today, I was out to dinner with my boyfriend and his parents. It was my first time meeting them, so I was a bit nervous. As we were talking, I accidentally let out a loud burp. His parents looked at me in shock, and my boyfriend just laughed and said, "Well, she's certainly comfortable around you two." FML

Today, I threw a birthday party for my boyfriend. As a joke, my friend and I served him non-alcoholic beer to see how he'd react. After a while, he faked being drunk, using it as an excuse after I caught him making out with one of my so-called "friends". FML

Today, my boyfriend and I were visiting his parents. I'm nervous around them so he encouraged me to drink so I'd loosen up. I got so drunk I tore up all the things in his old room I thought were from ex-girlfriends and accidentally flashed his dad my crotch. FML

What kind of dumbass gets drunk on a non-alcoholic beverage. In order to act drunk without actually BEING drunk or having some sort of mental impairment, you would have to be TRYING to act like an idiot. You were actually TRYING to make a bad impression. Not only that, but you were stupid enough to get drunk (or so you thought) when you were making a first impression. I would have to say that the family's first impression of you is correct: you ARE a stupid drunk. YDI.

placebo effect. If the boyfriends family didn't tell her it's non-alcoholic then she's probably going to assume that it's actual alcohol and there for get drunk. the only ydi that applies here is the fact that she'd risk a bad first impression with his family.
