Today, hoping to avoid the rain because I had just gotten an expensive perm, I ducked under an awning. At that moment, the store manager shook the awning, and about 6 hours of rain dumped on my head. FML

Today, I was walking to work when it was starting to pour down sideways. I was pretty early anyway, so, I decided to duck into a bus shelter and let it pass. Suddenly, a big truck comes and drenched me with the biggest puddle. Soaking from head to toe. FML

Today, I was hurrying for the bus home from work. It was raining and I had my umbrella up. As I hurried by two women, I felt my umbrella hit one of them on the head. I turned to apologise and saw her standing with her hands on her newly bald head. My umbrella had lifted her wig off her head. FML

Today, I got caught in the rain without an umbrella. I arrived at work looking like a wet rat, and my boss sent me home to change. I forgot my keys at work and ended up locked out of my apartment in the rain. I can't seem to catch a break. FML

Today, it started raining unexpectedly. My daughter and I didn't have an umbrella, so my daughter raised one of my big flabby arms and put it over her head to protect her from the rain. It worked. FML

Today, I walked 20 minutes in rain, winds that almost knocked me over, and face-fulls of stinging hailstones. Less than a minute after I finally got inside, the weather cleared up, the sun came out, and a rainbow appeared. FML

Today, I was standing around looking out the window at work when it became really dark and windy and started to pour. I watched a shopping cart fly across the parking lot thinking how funny it'd be if it hit someone's car. It hit mine. I need a new headlight. FML

no, with perms, you can't get it wet for at least 24 hours else it will fall.

So many people saying that perms are out of fashion and etc... A lot of people get perms even now, they just aren't the big 80's/90's styles. The "perms" that are being mentioned for African-Americans are not called perms, that's a relaxer - it literally relaxes the curl in the hair, hence the name. All of this talk is ridiculous about how a perm is out of style and that the OP must be either old or obsessed with how she looks. #67 is right, since when is it terrible for someone to want to look good? Which is completely how *you* see yourself, not necessarily others; If someone wants to get a perm, or dye their hair, or even wear makeup, that's their opinion of how to make themselves pretty. OP is kind of dumb for not taking an umbrella though, since it had rained for 6h - it doesn't take that long to do a perm.
