Today, I agreed to lend my daughter's inflatable pool to my neighbor for the day. Barely an hour later, I witnessed his son jump off their balcony, missing the pool by inches. He's now in hospital, and my neighbor has sworn to sue me, saying I'm responsible because the pool is mine. FML

Counter sue him for the distress and trauma that you and your pool suffered from having to watch it.

Her gene pool is deflated. Explain it's her fault for not moving her house closer.

You can't fix stupid, but you can move away from it.

they sell a cure for stupid, you can find it behind the counter at your local sporting goods store. 9mm lead pill taken at high velocity is just what the doctor ordered.

Unfortunately, you cant move away from something that exists everywhere

Your neighbor is an idiot. Since it happened on their property, under their supervision, or lack thereof, they are liable. If, for some reason they are laughed out of court, make your homeowner's or renter's insurance aware, have them sort it out. Or, just try to get it dismissed as vexatious litigation.

Lending credence to the saying "No good deed goes unpunished". Sorry OP. Idiotic people still exist.

Your neighbor is an idiot. You however aren't at fault for what your neighbors kid did. Not your fault they can't take responsibility.

Sound like your neighbor is mentally challenged.

Stupidity runs in that family it seems.

I bet somebody peed in that gene pool...

You're not liable. Don't lend your neighbor anymore stuff period.

The idiot has no case. He should be fined for bad parenting. If he was watching his kid it would have never happened.

Tell them to bring it on. then call Judge Judy yourself. She'll make mincemeat out of that dumba** in five seconds flat.
