Today, I came home to an eviction notice after an apartment inspection. The reason? Having an unauthorized pet that could cause unnecessary damage to my suite. My pet is a goldfish. FML

That totally sucks, but a fishtank could cause damage if it leaks. Talk to your landlord, you might ne able to work out a deal so you don't have to move out.

The reason is if something happens to fish tank the electrical/ water damage however this is assuming a tank and not a bowl.

I'd take them to court...seriously. Unless the lease specifically states no pets of ANY kind (uncaged or not) they can't evict you for that. I had the same problem for my 2 oscars and a betta and i won the case
