I know what your situation is :/ an when things like this happen it's best to try for the children because not only was I a unwanted bang but nobody thought about me during the divorce...it hurt me for a long time an I thought it was my fault. I think you have a very good reason to fall in love again. Don't listen to ppl on here who are putting you done either theyre all assholes.

Its an unfortunate reality. A lot of children are nothing more than leverage during a divorce. My siblings were used as such and my children were used as such against me. Its a brutal system, but a good life lesson. Putting yourself first and callously using the people around you for your own benefit has become the way of the world. Sorry your parent's actions made you feel unwanted, and hopefully society changes enough before you have children that you never find yourself doing the same.

It's not always best to stay for the kids though. My dad stayed for us and my mom stayed because she loves him but they have a horrible relationship and it has always taken a very big toll on me and my brother. We may have two together parents, but in no way did that make our life better or easier.

I'm sorry OP. But try not to let the cicumstances of the child's conception overshadow the fact that babies can be a beautiful thing. If you decide to raise it, teach it to do better than you and your husband. :3
