Over the limit... under arrest
**** the police.
Yeah some dick judge was going to charge me dismissal fees on this speeding ticket. I was going the speed limit and everybody was passing me. Cop pulls me over for going 20 over. Anyway, the judge said he would pull the tape, but if I was going even 1 mph over he would charge me full ticket price cause I "broke the law by going over the speed limit." Stupid small towns in Texas trying to get tourists money. Although, in Austin they don't pull you over unless you are doing 10% or more over the posted limit.
It's a Speed Limit. One mile over is breaking the law. That being said, you can fight it and probibly get it dismissed. That ALSO being said, it's a pain in the ass to do that eh... Especally if it's going to happen on any regular basis, and if the officer in question decides to make you a 'special project' I'd suggest you contact a lawyer or internal affiars and see what you can do about it....
In the UK being 2/3 MPH over the speed limit isn't breaking the law, as they give discretion for your speedometers being out. I am sure it probably will be the same in other countries as well. If he targets you, then you need to complain to the police station and make a complaint against him.
I agree with everyone on here, you need to fight it.
You definitely need to fight it. It'll be an easy win, unless you get screwed because the judge is your ex's dad's best friend or something. But that's more harassment because of your relationship to the cop and his daughter. If you pay it, he'll continue to ticket you for absurd things and will eventually run you broke. So fighting it is really your only option. stick it to the man before he sticks it to you.
I say you deserve it for driving entirely to fast.

That ticket won't stand up in court, especially with the arresting officer's relationship to your ex. Fight it!
you should do her and break her heart again
