SUCKS TO BE YOU that you don't understand or follow your childs gender issues. Man up and accept your child regardless of what gender they recognize themselves as. Male or female, still your blood. Be a father and show your love.

I'd say FYL because you had no idea this was happening. whether it was something your child wanted or a screw up by the state. But if it is what she wanted, love her for who she is, not what she is. if the state screwed up, make sure they fix it.

If your child is transgender, it depends on where you live but generally there's no set rule as to when one can change their name and gender marker. They just have to have a letter from a therapist, generally. and I know this because I am a transgender FtM.

There is a girl, who is two grades below me and only 15, that recently got her gender changed to male. I assume not anatomically... But she- or he- is now a dude...
