Today, I stepped on the MacBook Air I purchased 4 days ago. The screen snapped in two, and I didn't buy insurance because I promised myself I would be "extra careful." $3500 well spent. FML

How can you step on your macbook if you are "extra carefull"??? Putting it on the floor, or maybe you did dance on the table?, isn't carefull at all!

How did you spend $3500 on an Air? They're like 1500.

The highest priced MacBook Air costs $1799. You either got unbelievably ripped off, or your trolling. Either way you're an idiot.

Always get insurance if you're going to spend that much... Especially if you have to TRY to be extra careful.

Seriously, why the hell would you leave any computer somewhere where it would be vulnerable to be stepped on. And the most expensive Air is $1800, so what on earth did you add on to make it $3500? Either way, I've had multiple PC laptops die on me within a couple years of getting them - my 4 year old iBook G4 still works perfectly well. PCs are not better machines. I'll stick with Macs, thanks.

I think you'd need to buy another new battery by then :| . Also, Dells are shit.

People have to realize, and remember that computers get old, and need maintenance including cleaning out the computer from dust that gets in through the vents. Also, over two years of crap is probably stored on the computer, and a nice disk cleaning probably could have solved it. For a college student, a computer is being used almost everyday. I Have an ACER Extensa laptop for over a year now and it's wonderful. But like everything, they have quirks from time to time, and most of the problems I have had from my laptop was from Norton Antivirus!!! If anything, Mac & PC need to band together and beat the crap out of Norton, even if Mac doesn't use it. And who the hell would want to boot Mac OSX on a PC? For Mac to allow Windows Vista would be an extreme plus and would probably provoke a lot of PC users to Apple for their sleek designs. I still would not own a Mac for their lame commercials, and their big ego. I love PC, and everything I own is Microsoft from my Zune to my Computer, and the Zune HD which is premiering in a few days is definitely topping iPod Touch, wow, getting off topic. Anyways the big YDI is he left the stupid on the friggin floor! What an idiot. I don't care if you paid $100 for it, you don't leave a damn computer where people walk. That just pisses me off that you were so stupid!

YDI, not for buying a mac, but for buying a macbook Air. Those things are like the stereotypical supermodel. Really pretty, really thin, and if you get one, its expensive- but on the inside there really isn't anything worthwhile. I'm PC, but if you wanted to buy a mac (to step on), you shoulda gotten a macbook pro- that way you could have stepped on something with better specs and less cost. Anyway, thanks for putting that macbook out of its misery.

YDI for buying a MAC, let alone an Air. Next time, don't stick your laptop on the floor.

$3500??? Quit exaggerating to make your "story" seem worse. The most expensive macbook air costs $1,799. The most expensive mac is the 8-core mac pro, at $3,299, and i've NEVER seen one. I'd call this fake, but fml deletes "fake" comments because they "ruin the website for the other users."

Macbook Air costs $1,799 at most!!!! Stop exaggerating. And stop saying Macssuck. You bitching about how the Air doesn't have a CD drive isn't a valid argument. Why? Because that's the point of the Air! If you want a powerful computer, get a Macbook Pro for $1,100. They go up to 3.06 Ghz! Macs rule.

The point of an Air is to lay down a lot of bread on a computer that you basically buy crippled? Granted, people also spend $500 on pre-ripped jeans, so YMMV.
