I eat sushi with a fork as I hate chopsticks it's rather ironic as I'm Japanese
If you can't use chopsticks, eat sushi like a finger food.
As ridiculous as that as not being a frequent sushi eater isn't a reason to not date someone. Unless you're a REALLY big sushi guy and you always take girls to get sushi to find out if they're your kinda gal
Maybe she didn't lie. Wasabe might be something she didn't have any other time she had sushi, and lots of people can't use chopsticks. Thinking it was guac is a silly mistake even if you've never had sushi though.
I eat my sushi with a fork. I hate using chopsticks.
That's kinda a messed up reason not to take her out on a second date. My being someone who doesn't eat sushi I could see myself doing this if I'm taking a girl out on a date and she really wants to have sushi.
No, my is the correct word.
Maybe it's because she lied that made the guy uncomfortable. Or that she was absolutely, completely, uneducated about it, after she insisted she'd had it before. Maybe he's being a bit extreme but I can see where this would be a turn off.
You won't date a person because they can't use chopsticks and isn't familar with wasabi? That seems really bizare.
It's about trust, man.
Well you aren't supposed to use chopsticks with sushi but that's neither here nor there
It's perfectly acceptable. I do it all the time.

Maybe she was too shy to say that she hadn't? Some girls don't want to disappoint guys sometimes, so maybe she said yes because she knew you liked sushi?
At least she didn't mistake the wasabi for pistachio ice cream :P
