Today, I was discussing the possibility of other life in the universe with my friend. She said the universe isn't big enough for it to be possible, and that we would know about it already, because "there are only 8 planets in the universe." FML

Wow. She took stupid to a new level. She's not only wrong once, she's wrong twice. In going to assume the 8 other planets she's referring to is our solar system. Well there's only 7 other planets. Since Pluto isn't one anymore. You should inform her of her mistakes.

Misread. She only got one thing wrong. Read it as 8 other planets. Guess I assumed there was no way she'd know there were only 8 planets with that comment.
