Today, I was eating with my boyfriend and his family at a high-end restaurant when, suddenly, I screamed, thinking a dog had just bitten my leg. I am terrified of dogs. I kicked my under-the-table assailant as hard as I could. It was my boyfriend's adorable five-year-old sister. FML

You did a good job, kids should know its not polite to play under the table in a high-end restaurant. Do wonder why you would think a dog is walking around in a high-end restaurant...

It'll teach her not to bite peoples legs or to crawl under tables when your out eating. It'll save her parents trying to teach her.

Though I kinda agree with #136 (the comment was pretty funny--#37, are you being serious?), I do have to wonder if the girl was okay. Granted, at *any* restaurant, being under the table is just unacceptable. If it's a high-end restaurant, it's just plain rude, and if it's a McDonald's, it's just plain unsanitary. Either way, she should not have been under there, and she especially shouldn't have been messing with people. And a high-end restaurant would have to let seeing-eye dogs in with a blind person, it could've slipped away for a moment, blah. Besides, if the OP was really afraid of dogs, she could have just reacted without thinking. A lot of times, I'll slap my arm or something, thinking I felt a spider when it was really just a loose thread from my sleeve.

SHE HAD IT COMING. wtf was she doing under the table biting legs? btw, this will be a defining moment in her life. it will really inform the person she turns out to be.

ok, i dont even wanna know what happened to her after that?

That's weird, why would she be under the table at a high-end restaurant?

I hope she's alright and all but I have to wonder... why would there be a dog under a table in a high end restaurant?

id call it an accident for both parties. the kid was being a kid. you were reacting to what you were afraid of. i just hope you weren't wearing stillettos or something. >.< seriously, as long as no one was really hurt, life goes on. that does sound embarassing, though. :P

145, nicely put, I agree. My sis was attacked by a dog and has been terrified for most her life. I can understand that. And at 5 yrs old a kid should know not to bite (or be under tables).
