Today, I was walking in the park with my boyfriend of 3 years. He stopped and knelt down in front of me. I started to panic, then he told me to calm down, my shoe was untied. FML

i dont think this is either a YDI or FYL. If you started to panic when he seemed like he was proposing, doesnt it initially mean youre not ready? So be glad he was only tying your shoe.

well if they had been happily dating for three years and are walking in a park which is kinda romantic, that's a pretty logical conclusion. :)

if you panicked then i assume you didnt want to get married... so i dont see the FML, unless it was the embarrassment factor.
