yeah, try not to worry about it. its definately not your fault, you werent to realise that. lots of little kids pull faces. and i agree, the mother could have explained it. but then again, things like that probably happen all the time, and so the mum probably gets upset for her daughter...
I feel more bad for the kid than I do for you...
I work at a portrait studio as well. I hate it when I get ugly kids, or kids who you think are making a stupid face and thats just how they look. one time I kept telling this kid what to do and he wasnt doing it...turns out he was retarded and deaf and didnt know what I was doing or saying.
#29 woah chill out, get a ****** life moron. how the **** was this person supposed to know the kid had an eye problem? she/he should definately NOT be fired! I know what thats like.
#29... Wow... You're an idiot. FYL
I work at a portrait studio too and I took pictures of a girl who I knew was cross-eyed cause the mom told me and then when I was showing her the pictures the mom said she didn't like any because it made the girl look cross eyed. people are ridiculous.
okay, not gonna lie. i LOL'd at #12, as mean as that is but yeah. it's totally not your fault. she definitely should have told you first before bitching out at you and "expecting" you to know that the girl was naturally cross-eyed.
umm... do none of the "omg your so insensitive" people know anything about kids? every kid that i've ever seen that learned to cross their eyes do it CONSTANTLY when they first learn it cause they think its funny or whatever logic kids use in their brains... and when a kid is looking straight in a camera and smiling the cross eye look is much more pronounced than when they are just being. also it may not have been overly pronounced, just noticeable when looking at a camera. Also, telling the photographer about it would have taken two seconds and avoided all of that...
What is with the people voting YDI? The OP probably doesn't closely examine the face of every child that walks in. That would be weird, quite frankly. Most kids don't behave when they're getting photos done. They get bored, restless, tired, etc... and start acting out. This is totally the fault of the mother for not mentioning it to the OP, especially after the first time the OP asked the child not to cross her eyes. A simple "my child is naturally cross-eyed, so please do not ask her to uncross her eyes" would have sufficed.

The mom could've explained..
well its not really your fault, the mom didnt tell you, who isnt gonna naturally assume that a little kid is making faces when they cross their eyes?
