The film sucked. It wasn't scary at all. And "known to be the scariest film ever" is a total exaggeration, it's "known to have made people a lot of money" is what it is. If you were scared by Paranormal Activity then you shouldn't watch any films ever from here on out. I do feel sorry for your eye, though.

I laughed the hole time (I laugh not scream...) my older sister kept screaming and we watched it twice :P I like it.. ya it scared me... because I thought about it, not like all you retards that probly did get scared. oh and I'm into those kinda movies bu they always scare me. Ugh that movie was so bad. way too hyped. I saw it and I started laughing at some parts along with like, half the movie theater. it was almost as bad as Cloverfield. it was pretty cool to see the "dinosaur prints" at the one scene =P

#90, I remember when Blair Witch Project came out. Me every one of my friends thought it was real because it was filmed by a hand-held camera. (of course it was because it was the first hand-held cam movie)

It wasn't an awful movie, but to say it was the scariest ever is a bit of a stretch.

"Found footage" horror can be good if its done right. Paranormal Activity was NOT done right. Not by a long shot. It was a money making scheme taking advantage of public interest not an attempt to make a halfway decent movie.

It was filmed with home cameras to create the atmosphere it had.. Using personal cameras where the actors are actually filming creates that kind of plot.. There are plenty of good movies like that. But yes Paranormal Activity sucked and wasn't scary, just made to make you jump.

I'm not, it scared me, i love pure darkness, I'm not scared of death, nor demons or ghost but it still scared me. I think about any movie I watch. YOU GUYS STFU! SOME OF IT WAS BORING! SOME OF IT WASNT! you all prob didn't watch it all and wussed out.. if it scared somebody it doesn't make them anything! it's different for everybody!

$9.50 to see it in theatre was very badly spent. Movie was not scary and extremely boring.
