OP here: Yes he was breastfed for about 5 months. Due to unfortunate medical problems, we had to switch completely to formula. His brother, however, is currently breastfeeding. At 4 years old, he has lots of questions and I try to answer them all as honestly as I can. I in NOW WAY judge people about formula feeding. As long as the baby is happy and healthy, do what you do, which I've also tried to teach him.

Good for him! Good smart baby. I'd be beaming ******* proud
That's awesome, I would be proud of my kid if he was that knowledgeable about breastfeeding. Go little buddy!
My biggest irritation with this is that the kid calls it "boobie feeding." Can we please teach children the proper words for body parts? Especially if you've bothered to have an intelligent conversation with him about the health benefits of breast feeding.
My 5 yr old uses the word boobie, he knows the word breast too but finds that hard to say. It's like he prefers the word willy but I tell him its penis when speaking to a doctor or teacher. Each to their own especially at that age
that is hilarious!!
That's great! Good for you for informing your child.
Your kid asked his teacher to 'boobie feed' HIM? Isn't it more likely he'd have asked how she was planning to feed her baby? Either that's what OP meant or the teacher just doesn't listen properly.
From the responses people gave I assume "him" meant the pregnant teacher's son. But yeah, OP's comment is rather ambiguous and could be read as OP's son wanting to be breast fed. That would of course have been an even funnier FML. "Today, my son demanded that his teacher breast feed him and gave her a long list of reasons breast milk was better than the lunch I'd packed him"
your fault whatever u teach them u have to include when it is/isn't appropriate.
the teachers are ridiculous these days. the child is trying to learn. its not going to know the word 'breasts' at 4 years old. at least he didn't say nip*le right? your going to punish a child for trying to learn and relate to his environment and experiences.
There are some things that are at home learning and things that are school learning. Teachers can't answer any and all questions that they are asked because some parents have sticks up their asses. A teacher was recently written up because she accidental said the word "breast" in front of a student that was hiding in the classroom. Parents are ridiculous.
Teaching a child to respect the personal, private lives and decisions of others is not punishing them. Elementary school teachers tend to be very patient and understanding of child development. I doubt the teacher was angry or offended. Suggesting to a parent social skills to work in at home is something teachers regularly do.
Honestly, **** the teacher. People are too sensitive nowadays, like let the kid ask questions, it's what kids do. In fact, the child seems as though he's looking out for the teacher/her baby in his own kind of way, and I'm impressed that he's so well educated.
