Today, my boyfriend took me to his grandfather's funeral. At the reception, his family members insist on hearing me play piano. After getting positive reactions, I dive into one of my favorites, Rustle of Spring. In 2 seconds everyone bursts into tears. That was Papa's favorite too. FML

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!

Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.

What 89-90-91 said. People cry at funerals. FYL for not understanding that?

This is one of the most non-fml's ever. It was a funeral, people cry. I will bet you all the money in the world those were happy tears. They probably love you a ton more for doing that.

I wouldn't feel bad. That's thoughtful. At a funeral for the mother of one of my mom's friends, they played Danny Boy and everyone burst into tears cause that was her favorite.

You're an idiot if you think this is an FML. People are ******* their lives over the most retarded shit these days.

ur a dumb shit, n i want to kill u, n play tht at ur funeral. :)

this isn't an FML at all. in fact, you probably helped with the sentimentality of the whole thing by playing the grandfather's favorite. they were touched by hearing that song. #96: i think there's a ledge of a very tall building somewhere with your name on it

#23- I'm pretty sure #14 was just kidding. I'm going to say what everyone else said and say that this isn't a FML. Do you think they were crying because they were pissed at you? Doubt it.

I agree with the vast majority of the above. It's not a bad thing.

This is not an FML at all, it seems like it would be an intentional choice for someone to play someone's favourite at their funeral.
