Today, my dad texted me while I was in school saying, "Your cat vomited. Covered it up with a bowl so you can clean it when you come home." FML

...I'm not sure whether to laugh or be disgusted.

my dad does that all the time -.- my dog will go to the bathroom in his kennel and he'll be home and won't do a thing about it but take my dog out and as soon as I get home he tells me and also tells me I should clean it soon. ugh

To clarify: Your dad keeps your dog in the kennel after it has an accident, essentially forcing it to lay in it's own shit? If I'm wrong let me know, but that is how I understood your comment.

he/she is YOUR dog, meaning your responsibility. of you can't train properly, you shouldn't have pets.

but then again, dogs need to be let out to use the bathroom, not forced to stay in one spot every day for hours without being relieved at all

TheDrifter 23

I believe she meant her dad would let the dog out but nothing more.

Thanks Drifter, now that I'm rereading it I think I see that. I wish people would write more clearly on here. Not being a grammar Nazi, I just think there would be many less arguments and misunderstandings that way.

71 - there isn't too much grammatically wrong with that sentence, aside from rambling (and then, and then, and then etc). I understood it fine. The way you read it would have to put a negative into the sentence somewhere, meaning misread on your part. ...Maybe I am just used to it however from proof reading juvenile papers in school.

I think I mixed it up because I thought she said that he takes the dog out as soon as she gets home. Without the seperation provided by periods or commas it's difficult to seperate phrases. Isn't a lack of commas grammatically wrong?

Thanks Ebony, but I already realized that. :)

I don't find anything wrong with what your dad did. He took the dog out of the kennel so it wasn't getting poop all over it, and smeared more in the kennel. Do you expect your dad to get down and clean up the poop your dog made? I think he did a good thing by taking the dog out and letting you clean your dogs mess.

Lol, hey girl who keeps talking about my writing: can't you just admit that you made a mistake and stop attempting to make me look wrong? And what I'm saying is my dog is not MY dog. My dog is the family dog... Actually, he's my sister's but both my sister and brother go to a college away from my hometown and my sister got another dog, while we kept him, since I go to college near my house. So, if I'm not home all day and my dad puts him in the kennel without taking him to the bathroom, and he uses the bathroom while in there, my dad will notice and take him out the kennel but leave the mess there till I get home. Just his little poop cleaning slave.

flighted, you'll notice that in comment 116 I said that I missed the "and." But thank you for clarifying your story. :)

that's because you're black and you're all lazy

What a lazy asshole. My roommate cleans up after my cat if I'm not home. He's never felt the need to text me or whine about it, either.

if it's ur animal why should someone else clean up their mess? if u don't have the time to care for an animal then maybe u shouldn't have one.

I see you equate not having the time with ever having to leave the house for any amount of time because thats all it takes. it would be courteous to clean it up if the owner isnt going to be home for a few hours in my opinion. its kinda unhygienic to leave it.

Predental 5

I agree. Its your cat, you should clean it up.

BAMF519 0

I would not clean it nd save it for ur dad

DeadxManxWalking 27

then again who is to take care of the pet when they're not home?

oh wah you poor thing. my cat is bulimic or something and pukes every day or every other. I'd gladly trade you.

sounds like if you did that then her floors would be covered with bowls.... time to go shopping for more dishes! =P

skizzlerz 0

ha no it just accounts for LOTS of stains all over. it's disgusting but I still love my kitty. the things we put up with for the ones we love....

Cats don't get bulimia. Yes, they puke but shouldn't "every other day" if they are healthy. You should try a new diet or take it to the vet.

flighted 1

Your cat could be allergic to it's food. My dog used to get sick every once in a while on kibble but since we've switched his diet to raw feeding almost 2 years ago he hasn't thrown up since

ya my pointer had a problem with his diet and was shittin water for a bit. a vet check should probably be in order.

skizzlerz 0

yeah I know she doesn't have bulimia its just a joke. I've changed her food before and she just pukes more. could be hairballs I suppose

skizzlerz 0

and we also think that it might have been my dad when she was a kitten. he got picked her up and she bit him and he threw her against a wall and we think that might have screwed her up. and now that he's not around she's a little better so yeah

If it's a family cat then your dad is a dick. If it's really just your cat then it's your responsibility.

noooo hes being a dick and is lazy to pick up some ******* puke like seriously man grow up and deal with it

finalyearsofhate 22

your pet, your responsibility. pets throw up and have accidents. deal with it. it's more like f the cat's life for being sick. don't expect others to deal with your responsibilities. can't handle it? don't get a damn pet. nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to take the poor cat.

zombie_ladie99 0

that is gross but at least it's will be all dryed up by the time OP gets home. makes for an easy clean up haha

Shazzora 0

Hahahaha!! I'd just hire a cleaner and act like I'd never seen it...
