Today, my dog died. We planned to get her cremated and keep the ashes. My sister put forward the idea of putting the ashes in our food so our dog can be "inside of us, always." She's completely serious. I'm scared to eat food from her now. FML

Bury it, then put a marker of some sort in a different spot, just in case she gets the idea to dig it up. You need to cover all your bases here. I'm scared for you...

Tell your sister she can be an ashhole if she wants, but you'd rather not be an ashhole.

I had no idea people cremated animals...

#44, I see you are from Louisiana. In the other 49 states, when we see a dead animal, we don't think the options to dispose of it are limited to "jambalaya, gumbo, boudin, etouffé or po-boys."

44--They do. When my cat died a few years ago, I had her body cremated. Her ashes are in a small wooden box that's held shut with screws. A part of her will always be with me--without consuming her ashes, I might add. I have my memories of her, and I hope anyone who has lost a beloved fur family member has wonderful memories of his/her friend. OP, does your sister have a drug problem, by chance?

reminds me of the family guy episode where Meg puts her hair in Brian's food

You might wanna tell your parents to get lil miss Dahmer to a psychiatrist quickly...

Just yesterday on Tumblr I saw a text post about someone wanting their ashes scattered on the food of celebrities so they could 'finally be inside them'. Today I see this. COINCIDENCE?!
