I still do
Honestly I don't blame him. We've been getting hit nonstop with this bad weather. Jersey has had 3 bad snow storms in 2 weeks and the town's are running out/most are out of rock salt. We haven't had this many snow storms in over 5 years.
I am from Georgia and lived in RI for a while...ice shuts down things there too.
Just wait until next week when it's 80 degrees outside. Oh and don't forget the 100+ weather with 100% humidity during the summers.
It may arguably be the ice storm of the decade, since the news reports are saying it will be comparable to the one from 2000, but I'm not sure about the storm of the century. Hang in there OP; things will be back to normal by Friday.
Remember that weather is different in every area of the country OP. I'm from California and the first snow storm we had after we moved to Washington scared the every loving hell out of me. The first hot day of summer we had I was telling my friends to get over it. They were use to cold winters and I was use to blisteringly hot summers. It happens. xD
I'm in Georgia. The thing is, no one can drive on ice. Not without the appropriate number of salt trucks, which we don't have.
Poor poor people who don't know what snow is. I get people in the south don't have much experience in it but consider it like rain and go from there. Or spend a winter in Canada and you'll really be glad thats all you get.
they are just not used to it. give them a mile of mud road and they would be in their glory.
Completely understand. Family just moved from Ohio to Georgia 6 months ago. I used to walk a mile to school in this and people here have cleared out grocery stores and stocked up on gas like the end has arrived.

That sucks for all of us from the north but to be fair, they are not used to any type of snow or ice
And in the north, 50 degrees is T-Shirt weather!
