Today, my mother called me downstairs to give me what I assumed was going to be "The Talk" (About four years too late). So she sits me down, holds my hands, and with the gentlest, most motherly expression on her face tells me, "Honey, if you ever come home pregnant, I'll kill you and the baby." FML

Wow O_o I can't believe how much of a response this thing is getting(first post ever...) But for clarification:(Skip if you want...Blah) a) Since my mother was willing to beat me with a metal end of a broom for claiming Hitler and the events of the holocaust were wrong and has a machete at the ready underneath her bed, the threat was/is to be taken seriously, wouldn't you think... (Is she still hilarious?) b) Kill me, sure, but THE KID??? c)I would've loved for my mother to have been concerned/open enough with me to have an actual conversation about sex... Blegh -_-

#10: Hear, hear! Death is a sweeter end than giving the kid up for adoption... and having them live their life wondering what was so wrong with them that they didn't deserve a family. (I'm not adopted... though I'd still never wish that kind of upbringing on ANYBODY.) Though adoption is still better than living a mediocre/shit upbringing by a teen mother/whoever-that-teen-mother-pawns-the-kid-off-to. ...still, get the abortion.

You really think it is better for the kid to get killed before even being born than to be born and adopted by people who will love them and care for them??? What?!?!?!? I don't understand why people freak out about abortion. The fetus is no more alive than your finger nails or hair. Most people that are pro life say that you're still taking away the life of someone because they had an opportunity to live. I think that's crazy. Guys don't worry every time they jack off because their sperm will die, and girls don't freak out every time they're on their period because of what 'could have been.' THE FETUS ISN'T ALIVE. (at least, not early on when abortion is legal). Pro choice all the way.

There is a big difference between "what could have been" and "what will be". If you are pregnant you WILL have a baby. The fetus WILL grow and you WILL have a child. It's called an indisputable fact. Just because it isn't out and running around and "alive" does not mean that it is not a baby. But whatever helps you sleep at night.

you are a ******* idiot. the baby is a live human being FROM THE MOMENT OF CONCEPTION. haven't you ever heard the saying "A person is a person no matter how small."? aborting a baby is just as bad as walking up to someone and beating them to death. just think, of your parents got an abortion, you wouldn't be alive right now.

my Aunt was adopted and she loves her family she grew up with and never once until this last month ( she is 52 now) wondered who her "real" parents were. Im sorry but once a baby is conceived it is considered a human. why is it ok to kill a child of the womb but not ok to kill a child on the streets. no matter how you look at it, its all a form of murder, and it all should be illegal

some mom...my mom told me it was a sin to be pregnant (when i'm not nearly religious enough for that to bother me anyway) and i asked her how i was there and she was not burning in hell. she still hasn't answered me...6 years later...
