It'll get better with time and communication. for a female virgin sex can be painful the first time since nerves cause you to tighten up. relax, lots of foreplay, use lube if you have to and, most importantly, have fun! it is really important that you communicate with eachother. Tell him to slow down or speed up. Be honest, and sweetie DON'T FAKE IT!! fake it once and your stuck faking it possibly forever.

Why is everyone assuming that it is their first time ever? OP said it was their first time having sex with eachother. They could have had sex before for all we know, just with different people. Op, teach him what feels good for you and tell him what he can work on. work on it together. practice will hopefully make it better for the both of you.
