U-turn

Today, we were going to Disney World all the way from North Carolina. After 12 hours of driving, my kids started fighting and complaining. My husband finally said, "If I hear you guys one more time we're turning around and going back home." They annoyed him once again, and we actually went home. FML

he'll yeah, that's the kind of parenting I wanna see, no sucking up to kids, those kids will remember that for the rest of their life

EVERYONE here that agrees with what the father did sounds like they have never been kids! Do you think you ever KNEW and took advantage of your parents not following through? I never schemed or kept doing horrible things because I knew my parents wouldn't follow through, following through like THIS cannot be justified for this reason. And it's not like the kids were banging on the walls, jumping out of the car, or doing anything outragous, it just says that he got 'annoyed.' Would you cancel a long-planned, solid vacation because you got 'annoyed'? That's crazy. I'd divorce his controlling ass if he kept it up, taking the kids with me.

you guys should start disciplining you kids but if you are then u have some messed up kids

Yeah the kids are really messed up for acting up after 12 hours in a hot car with nothing to do. The dad is a complete ass, there was no need to do that unless the kids had put him and the rest of the family in serious danger. They were probably whining a bit or annoying each other

That's good parenting - now the kids know how serious you are...but fyl Disney World ? I love amusement parks - never been there though :)

how is this a fml? if your children posted it then yes but a grown woman? i actually think thats some good parenting teach those little sheets a lesson

don't you see that OP was also excited to go to Disney World.

Straight up he was right. Was he an extremist? Yes, absolutely... but never again will those kids forget that when dad says something he means it. Kudos dad. Way to prove you cant be messed with.

FINALLY. A parent who follows through. A kid can tell when the threat is empty. My dad did that once at the pony farm. I was pissed but I never fought in public again.
