What she did was racist, even if she didn't know or have ill intent. Stereotyping is racist. Racism does not only mean the dictionary definition, and the people that usually say that don't even experience racism. If you still want to be with her, explain why what she did was wrong and go from there.
Stereotyping isn't racist. It's miseducated. Trust me, I've been hit with four different minorities and I've known racism. Having a stereotype like this situation is an opportunity to teach something. It's not worth being an asshat over. Funny thing is, everyone is so quick to scream racism instead of sitting the person down and reeducating. If a friend of mine says, -typical stereotype- I calm my want to be angry and I tell them the truth and try to get them to understand why it's a stereotype and why they shouldn't think that way. If all you do is heave and bitch about them being racist you haven't solved ANYTHING.
Sorry, ran out of edit time. I reread your comment and wanted to delete that last sentence. You did say he should talk to her, not just scream racism and leave it at that. But it's still not racism either way.
at least she was trying to make it enjoyable for you
Everyone's a little bit racist sometimes...
I'm sorry, sweetheart. I hope you find someone better. That type of behavior is never acceptable.
really? open communication and working on a relationship is thrown out the window by 1 mistake that they (most probably) never talked about? Wow. I guess it's easy just to give up and move onto the "next new thing" huh? You will forever be alone/divorced I guess and always wonder why. "Oh no, my significant other totally didn't put up the toilet seat even though I never asked them to... BREAK UP" ???!!!
newsflash, you already lost your virginity the moment you entered her
lol its the thought that counts xD
