Today, I got two viruses on my laptop. One was a fake anti-spyware program that cluttered the screen with pop-ups. The other opened the browser repeatedly, each time to a generic porn site. This all conveniently happened at work, on a projector and during a meeting. FML

I've had a PC for years and never had a virus. Which computer is better is beside the point. The point is that the OP was putting on a presentation and a million pornos popped up in front of EVERYONE! OP, that's horrible I'm so sorry. I hope they understand 

I got the same thing... its b.s. use Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware its a free program http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Today, I went on to the comments to write something witty and clever about this particular FML. I wanted to tell the 'OP' that while unfortunate, I totally rolled on floor laughing my ass off at his FML, and it is a shame but the people would understand. Then I saw all the f***ing arguements about whether or not a Mac or a PC is better. FML P.S.: NEITHER WILL LAST MORE THAN 5 YEARS ANYWAY, AND EVEN IF THEY DO THEY WILL BE MORE OUTDATED BY THEN THAN YOUR MOM JOKES

My 9 year old Dell laptop, 7 year old Dell desktop, 6 year old Powerbook, and collection of Sparc boxes disagree. My 4 year old Terrabox is due to disagree shortly.

use anti-maleware bytes to get rid of the anti spyware program

Not all **** popups are generated from **** sites. And no computer has better virus protection than the other, depending on what you click on. If you know what you are clicking on, then it won't matter. I happen to prefer a mac because it fits my needs, it's faster, and it's WAY easier to use. But of course, that's my opinion. If you want to write comments condradicting MY opinion, then fine, be my guest. Just don't tell me my computer choice is wrong, because that's just low.

Easiest option would have been to just disconnect from the internet tbh, at least you wouldn't get the **** pop ups and next time you get anti spyware make sure its legit, I myself use AVG, but there are several sites which compare the top brands, and i reccomend using one of them rather than one you have never heard of, or even if it was one you heard of, downlod it from the actual site!
