Nope

By Brrrb - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - Singapore

Today, I passed by a small shop and decided to go in to look at the jeans. Before I could even step in, the shop owner told me expressionlessly, "All the sizes here are too small for you." FML

Should have replied "No, your jeans are too ugly for me... a bit like your face" Childish I know.. but they seem to have more fun then us adults so why not. ;-)

That was nice of the owner, making sure you didn't waste your time. ;)

Yeah exactly, the alternative would be for the OP to walk into the changing rooms with loads of jeans and finding that none of them fit, and then blaming the shop for "not stocking for 'naturally bigger boned' people." :')

I tried to go into Express to get a belt one time, and they totally didn't have my size... which is only 40. I mean, fat, I know, but not that fat!

HAHAHA omg this has happened SO many times...when I lived in Korea. Cause everyone there is so TINY they didn't bother selling sizes to fit your average american :D

yes but the average american is over weight and like size 20+

81 win!! you never notice until you go to like seaworld it's disturbing...

ya hes right....... the amount of people who are overweight in America is scary....

America had alot of overweight people, but there are also alot of skinny and muscular people. Stop stereotyping.

It's not a stereotype, America statistically has one of the highest numbers of obese people in the developed world (or the very highest). Yeah there are other body types there too, just like all other countries, but 70% of people being overweight is extremely high. Though I'm British and we're steadily catching up.

such shopkeepers r real losers! dont have any idea how to do business..

or that the business owner dont want a girl who think shes size 6, but really size 20 and end up ruining the clothes by ripping them while dragging them on..? might have been cuz of experience!

Really, people? If you owned a clothes store that only sold normal sizes and a total lardmeister walked in looking for total lardmeister sizes, what would you do, let him waste his time searching for products you know you don't carry? Because that's *infinitely* ruder than - GASP - being honest about his weight. This guy was definitely in the right.

he could have said it in this way: what do you want? ohk jeans.. what size... (and then say) sorry, we dont have this size with us right now.... now this is what i call is doing business..keeping customers happy..

13 is right if people don't like the (many) downsides to being fat, stop ******* eating so much and don't bitch about it when people say somethin cause it's YOURE FAULT. unless you have a eating disorder, cause if you do it's understandable to be upset.

Some people it isn't their fault or and eating disorder, some people it's just in their genes, and they really are just naturally "fluffy".

When you're too fat to fit into anything in a store, that isn't "natural fluffiness."

You do know overeating, compulsive eating and such are actually eating disorders. There are often chemical imbalances in the brain leading to the obesity. It isn't as easy as "stop eating". There is actually a physical addiction, only unlike other addictions such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc food is unavoidable. Sure, choices play a part, but that's true for all eating disorders.
