so the houses were 5 feet? thats kinda small
YDI IS ******* RIGHT! How many ******* times do you hear about people getting hit even when the driver had just one. You had alachol in your system and you got behind the wheel, i dont give a dam if you live 30 ft away from your house, you deserved that ticket. any one who says that "oh dont be so harsh, 3 beers cant get a man drunk" i say **** you, what if someone did get hit because of this?
Yes, 30 feet down! Not only did they get hit, but got their brains splattered all over the windshield! Let's see - suppose you need to be going 30mph to kill someone (not sure the exact number). 30 mph = 44 feet per second, the OP says he had gone 30 feet, which means he needs to have accelerated to 44 fps in a distance of 30 feet, making his acceleration roughly 20 m/s^2, or 2x the G-force which is beyond an average car's capabilities. "An average sedan generates 0.60 G of lateral acceleration." (all google could provide for me) As per the above statement, the owner would have to have a car far exceeding the specs of an average street-legal one. You lose. Next!
This happened to my friend's dad. He lives two blocks down from the bar. Cop picked him up leaving the bar and he got an OVI (Ohio's "DUI") after driving less than several hundred feet. Not that I think it's ok that he tried to drive, but it is unfortunate that some people get away with driving intoxicated for miles on major roads, endangering people along the way; while others are just trying to go a few hundred feet to get home and they're the ones who end up being punished for it. IMO neither of those groups should be driving while intoxicated, but all I can say is: wouldn't it be nice if the world was fair...
Pwned
all you guys saying YDI are idiots.... mostly your saying it because OP shouldn't drink and drive, why would you drive to the party?, and why didn't you just leave it.... well first of all the OP wasnt really driving, he was just moving his car a few houses up to avoid any confrontation with whoevers house they parked in front of. secondly at the beginning the OP says they are coming home from work and going to the party next door and couldn't park in there own drive way..... that's how the car got to the party. and lastly from reading most of these FMLs you should all know that people are assholes and If the OP had left the car in it's original spot this fml may have turned into "today I had to park six doors down from my house because my spot was taken, I was at my neighbours party and had a few beers So I decided to it was best to leave it where it was. my car was keyed, they left a note saying 'park in your own spot next time asshole' FML" then I bet the same people would say YDI because you too are assholes...
YDI for: 1) Drinking 3 beers in 20 minutes. 2) Walking back up 6 houses to pull your car back to where you just walked by. Why not just walk up the 6 houses in the morning when you leave?
well it is your fault for getting drunk in the first place and why the hell do you drive to the next door neighbors house?!?!?! no wonder we have so much ******* polution! ass holes like you are to lazy to get of their fat and happy asses to get up and walk or ride a bike! YDI and i hope your ticket is expensive.
The infamous pollution argument! Indeed, drivers who drive 100 feet are the reason we have so much pollution. Sound and logical.

You drank 3 beers in 20 minutes and then decided to get behind the wheel? YDI, even for 30 feet.
Should've left your car there and walked home.
