Awe shame. You should've noticed she had no money considering she's moving into a nursing home. Btw, i've heard that these are the people that leave tons in their will to those that help them coz think about it, her family didn't help her. You did a good deed. Well done
I think 4 hours extends beyond charity... There could be a HUGE FYL here due to the circumstances. I do feel bad for the lady, but you did get jipped. I feel people should be sympathetic and helpful to eldarly, but not bow at their every wish. again, it is very dependant on circumstances... but her situation is very likely the consequence of a number of decisions.
The OP never says the lady agreed to pay him, but that he was told he would get paid ("payed") When I read it, I kind of assumed it was like, "Hey, my mom is moving into a retirement home, I'm going to be on a business trip, do you think you could help out? I think she'll make it worth your while." People here seem to think the old lady breached some kind of contract or something terrible. Chill.
#47 I'm not whining, I'm just stating a fact. He should not be nice to people because he is expected to, but because he wants to. Therefore if he agreed to perform a task in exchange for payment, that's that. no bullshit about how he should have done it for free cause the bitch is old. **** her and her racecar, she should have asked one of her grand kids, but obviously shes such a ******* douchebag they wouldn't even help her move to her smelly old peoples home. And yes, payment does not imply monetary compensation. And Im very sure she understood that, that's why she tried to be a smartass by paying him with a racecar. Shes old, not ******* autistic. Poor guy got scammed. Shes an old sleazy bitch. That's the end of it. **** His Life!
If you expected pay, then you should agree on amount before starting the work.
"if it don't make dollahz it don't make cents yo" You're an idiot. You helped a person in need. That knowledge is payment enough.
Heaven forbid you just do it out of the kindness of your heart without expecting anything in return. Just knowing you helped someone in need should be reward enough. I don't get people these days, always expecting material things in exchange for a good deed. You should quit being a selfish bastard and start becoming a decent human being. People like you are what's wrong with the world today.

And there was absolutely no way you could turn this story to attract girls?
