OP, I hope your mother has her pistol ready. Cheater or not - if anyone ever showed up with a bat to harm my son, they would be in for some damage. I understand his daughter was hurt. But a bat? Really? Are we in 1957 still? That's trashy and won't solve anything. If his daughter herself condoned that, then she has some serious self evaluation to do. I can't see how cheating warrants physical beating. Under no circumstances does OP deserve to be harmed physically.

Well as much as I think you're a dick for cheating, her dad's reaction is really over the top. You can kill or seriously injure someone with a bat. Then maybe he just wanted to give you a scare to teach you a lesson. You writing this FML let me think that you're still alive and still have use of both hands :)

Wouah, I would be afraid to date someone were you live, if it seems normal to threaten your daughter's boyfriend with a bat if he cheated on her. So is it like: - Daddy, he forgot our anniversary !: Dad shows up with his fists - Daddy, he cheated on me !: Dad shows up with a bat - Daddy, he left me (for another woman)! : Dad shows up with a showel (and a gun) ???? Conclusion: OP, find an orphan girlfriend next time (but try not to cheat this time).
