Well that doesn't make up for the fact you cheated. Hope you didn't get walloped to bad but still.
While cheating is an awful thing to do, violence is not a reasonable answer.
I'm shocked at how many here think violence is fine. I hate cheaters as much as anyone but that doesn't justify violence...
OP You are an arsehole. Why exactly did you not only do it in the first place, but then tell her? I'm not saying its ok to cheat, its definitely not, I'm just saying that that only reason you would confess to something like that is because it would make YOU feel better to come clean, while she gets hurt because of something YOU did. And then you come on here looking for sympathy???
you couldn't expect that to go well did you?
You deserved it
'You Deserved It'
What else did you expect after committing the worst relationship crime there is? Also I bet you only confessed to relieve your guilt and make YOURSELF feel better. YDI
I'm going to go against the tide here and say thank you for being honest. Of course, it would have been better had you discussed having an open relationship in the first place. No one ever ever deserves to be hit with a baseball bat.
WTF? Did you really expect (something like) that to not happen?

YDI for cheating...
You didn't really think we would sympathise...
