Today, I decided to ask my girlfriend of 3 years to marry me. I made brownies with walnuts and put an engagement ring into the brownie I gave her. Not only did she choke on the ring, but on the way to the emergency room, I find out she is highly allergic to walnuts. FML

Together 3 years and you didn't know she was allergic to walnuts?

If she says "Yes" after all that she must REALLY love you. Hahaha

a) 3 years, and something as huge as a nut allergy slips past you? That's pretty damn serious, man. b) How small was the damn ring that she didn't even notice when she was chewing? Unless you guys are fresh out of high school, you got some 'splainin' to do. >:[

How stupid could you be to put a ring IN food you were giving her. What the hell did you expect her to do if not eat the ring? And your story doesn't add up unless you add the walnuts crushed into a paste because if she was highly allergic to walnuts she would have noticed any nut bits and said something. I call fake

What the hell why would you put a ring in a brownie? This means she eat the whole brownie in a bite?

You... are an idiot. Brownies are not conducive to marriage.

You missed the ending where you opened her wind pipe with a BIC pen to keep her alive.. and through the pen she said yes... I call fake

What a ******* stupid idea. You deserved that one.

The ring wouldn't have to be that small. It could have been near the back of her mouth when she took the bite, and sort of made its way to her windpipe before she could do anything about it. It's farfetched, but it's possible. But yeah, OP, you're pretty dumb.

1) You not knowing she's allergic to walnuts after 3 years makes you an idiot 2) Her not noticing the walnuts in the brownie and eating it makes her an idiot 3) Putting an engagement ring in a brownie is a stupid idea. Not only is it cliche, but it would get the ring all dirty! I know I wouldn't want my ring to have brownie chunks caught in all the grooves. Overall, horrible job on your part. If she says yes then she really does love you. I also think this sounds a little phony, though.

what if she bit down on the ring and chipped her teeth? dude, you should have thought very carefully about your way of proposing. idiot.

#10 it's a condition of trusting people that "know" you. Seems OP's not quite ready to walk the aisle...
