You should get that checked out. It's affecting your daily life and causing pain :/

Go to a car wash, pay the 50 cents to use the vacuum on your belly button and it'll suck that thing right out of there.

A standing receptionist? They're an elusive species.

Hey, what did Brian ever do to you?

Are you not allowed to stand during work? Lots of people like cashiers and bank tellers work their entire shifts standing. I suppose it could make working on a computer more difficult if you have to do that but making adjustments would be better than pain. And you could sit for a few mins if your legs get tired

It doesn't sound like a bad temporary solution, but unless the OP is able to reposition the computer and desk at a higher level as to not have to bed down, then I would imagine the same amount of discomfort would result from the angle of bending to reach the desk. Depending on the company the OP work's for, repositioning might not be a viable solution.

why do all you people keep telling her to get it checked out...? she obviously did if she "found out" she had it. you don't just pull that explanations out of your ass...

I have a herniated disc + excruciating sciatica sitting makes worse, job = receptionist so I feel your pain fyl!

I had one in my hand for the longest time, it would move around whenever I would move it, and I'm pretty sure it gave kids nightmares.
