Ugh, TL;DR might be the stupidest acronym I've ever seen. Just refrain from posting if you can't wrap your tiny brain around a post that wasn't even that long to begin with.
He probably thought that since you are too stupid to put the dollar sign before the numbers, you would be too stupid to figure out that he bought you a cheap-ass ring. I'm sure you are getting a lot of sympathy out there from all the girls who've been dating guys for years with no proposals of marriage -- they'd be happy with a proposal and a Cracker Jacks ring, you materialistic bitch.
Ah, the wonderful sight of fmylife.com...where everyone can say bad things not to your face, but in front of it. :)
Bwa, I also think OP is being materialistic. I mean, she says the engagement ring was beautiful - maybe her partner saw it on TV and thought 'wow, that's a ring my sweetheart will love', who knows, but now she knows that it only costed 20 dollars, her feelings are hurt. You are right, it's the thought that matters, but even a cheap infomercial ring can be bought with the right thoughts. OP liked it, now she's complaining.
Sounds like you liked it before you knew how much it cost. Therefore, it IS about how much he spent, isn't it? News flash babe, not everyone gets a ring at all. I'm married, and I never got an engagement ring. I would've been absolutely furious it he had spent a bunch of money on a stupid ring. I'd much rather he spend the money on bills and food and such, than on something that any criminal can steal off your hand.
Thank you! I couldn't agree more. Before my husband and I got each other some decent wedding rings this Christmas, we literally wore pieces of yarn tied around our ring fingers since we got married in '07. I never got an engagement ring, nor did I have a big expensive wedding? Do I care? Hell no. I really hate it when women bitch that their men "don't love them enough" to spend a retarded amount of money on them.
What are you complaining about???? Its only an engagement ring, not the actual wedding ring
Technically that would be her wedding ring. Women wear 2 rings: the engagement ring and at the ceremony a wedding band is added. The wedding band is usually a simple ring while the engagement ring is the attention getter.
Well traditionally engagement rings are expensive, but considering the fact that she puts her dollar signs after the number shows that she is not worthy of not even a $15 ring from JC Penny soooo the hick should be grateful<3
You said it was beautiful, didn't you? So what are you complaining about?
if I was him, I would break it off with you. you should be happy he felt like you were the one for him instead of where he got it from and how much he paid for it.

The important thing is that you like it and he got it for you.
it's the thought that counts as long as it's beautiful why does it even matter and money is hard these days so wow
