Today, I just finished nearly a year of muscle-building in order to impress my crush. Turns out she doesn't date fit guys, because "they're all jerks". FML

This. How do you spend a year committed to something for a person without knowing her feelings? And anyway, if she doesn't like you for you, she's not right for you in the first place. Change yourself for YOU, then find someone who likes you for you.

The Nazis killed 12 million people because they thought their race was better. And the enforced what they believed in by spreading fear, mass murdering people,shipping innocent people off tho slaughter houses, doing terrible medical experiments, and completely killed a country. I don't see how you could joke about that. Please my grandparents refuse to talk about it . Half of my family was killed, please be a bit more respectful.

Well lets see. You worked out for a year, simply assuming that this girl would be 'typical', and like a fit guy. You didn't talk about it to her or even see what she thought - you simply assumed she was an 'average' girl. You probably are a jerk, but even if not, you definitely deserved it.

How does working out for a year make him a jerk? It's likely you're muscle-building more than just to impress your crush. Self-Defence, make himself feel healthier, etc. Many reasons why. Also, look at the first sentence, and twist it a bit. It doesn't say when he started muscle-building, does it? He could've met his crush at 9 months. And finished the year of muscle-building to impress her. The girl is the one with prejudice.

I can't help it if he posted a lie. ;-) He may not be a jerk, but without taking into account anything else about this fellow - which we can't due to not having that info - he was assuming that this girl was typical/average (being that 'typical/average girls apparently like muscular/toned men'). I'd consider it a bit jerky if someone considered me to be typical or average, especially if they've never spoken to me about my thoughts. He very well may not be a jerk, but he definitely deserved this one. Of course, the girl is seemingly a jerk too, given that she's making assumptions about him too (regardless of their accuracy or inaccuracy).

You tried to impress her by lifting weights. I'm not saying her assumption is correct, but maybe you should've tried to impress her by doing something more substantial, with building muscle being a personal goal.

You got fit, which is a pretty good end in and of itself. Pity she's so shallow as to judge people on their appearance. She's not worth it.
