Today, I learned that chivalry truly is dead when a seemingly fit man pushed me into a door to get a seat on the train before me. My leg is in a cast. FML

Today, I got on the subway with a broken leg. A kind woman stood up and offered me her seat. Before I could sit down, a guy shoved past me and took it for himself. The woman and I pointed out my cast and crutches, and asked him to give up the seat. He responded by flipping us off. FML

Today, on my way to school, I was shouted at by an obnoxious businessman for sitting down on the train when a "full fare paying passenger" was standing. I would normally have given him the seat straight away, except I have a broken leg. I showed him my leg and crutches. He still made me get up. FML

Today, I ran for the train that was about to leave. I tried to hold the doors open with my leg and got stuck. The conductor just yelled out how unbelievable and ridiculous I was and waited 2 minutes to finally release me. Everyone was laughing at me. FML

Today, while sitting in a handicapped seat on the bus, an old man angrily approached me and chewed me out in front of everyone for not leaving the seat empty for "those who actually need it." Then he stormed off the bus, stepping heavily on my broken foot. FML

This has nothing to do with chivalry. It shouldn't matter whether the OP is male or female, it shouldn't matter if the jerk who pushed them was male or female. When there are two people and only one seat, the person who is injured, elderly, pregnant, or in any way impaired should automatically get to sit there. If both people are relatively young and/or fit, then feel free to battle it out! Lack of chivalry? Try a lack of COMMON COURTESY, which is rapidly disappearing in today's society.

Chivalry is not dead, it's just an endangered species nowadays. You have to hunt for it ladies. HUNT FOR IT! Just, don't kill it once you find it. I knew a couple girls who actively kill chivalry, which is lame. So, don't kill it, 'cause, you know: it's endangered.

you should publically embarass him. like talk on your cell in front of him complaining to your doctor about how your wound opened up because a man pushed you out of the way on the train. its an asshole move, but this will teach him to mind his manners.
