Advice for the future? That kind of talk is a major relationship discussion, best brought up when you and your boyfriend are alone and have time to talk it out. Not appropriate material for a text. That's like dropping a commitment bomb on someone with no means for them to adequately express how they feel about what you said. But then, you probably knew that when you sent it. Don't be so passive-aggressive.
I'd say YDI for saying those things with a TEXT MESSAGE. God, how impersonal can you get? Instead of just calling him to tell him how you feel you would rather just write it? I find texting wrong for this very reason. If you have something important to say, like professing your love, say it in person.
texting can't really convey the sincerity of feelings like that, remember the "YOUR NUTS" story???? ydi, ding bat.
If my girlfriend is reading this: I love you and I want to have lots of babies with you! I found that this is the most personal way for me to tell you about my feelings! Also, bring more rum.
Agreed with #23. If you love him to the ends of the earth and want to have his babies etc, then have this talk in person. This isn't middleschool where you hover over the "send" button to tell a crush you like him. After three and a half years, you should be able to sit down and talk to him about where your future is going. On the off chance you did talk about it and this was your delayed reaction to the conversation (happens to everyone) then still, shouldn't have been through a text. On the bright side, hey, you got your feelings out in words! Yay! ...Still, YDI
that's just a lot for a guy to take all at once hun, especially in a text. of course he is going to try and defend himself. don't take it personally, and don't do it again.

I think the "mother of your children" part probably prompted his question more than anything else
Yeah that's a pretty awkward thing to send over a text..
