The only time I ever text things like that to anyone is when I'm wasted. Do you normally tell him things like this? If not, he probably just thought your inhibitions were down and that's when you got up enough courage to tell him your true feelings. Next time, tell him in person when it's that important. A simple "I love you!" text gets the point across just fine for the other times you're thinking of him.
Texting is bad, I understand you felt like doing that right there but... now you know why it's wrong :/

Ha. Reasonable question. When I'm drunk I text people and tell them I love them. Of course I don't say I want to carry their babies, but whatever. ;-)
