Today, I signed up for an online dating service, a couple of days after my divorce. I got my first batch of matches, and number one was a smiling picture of the woman who had just divorced my ass after 20+ years together. Her profile shows she has to have been active there for months. FML

Today, I re-joined a popular on-line dating service. I first signed up 3 years ago and was matched with a wonderful woman. After about a year, she broke up with me. I was devastated. After two years of trying to win her back, I decided it's best just to move on. Guess who they matched me with? FML

I'm sorry, you deserve a better wife. what you do now: make an account under some random name, with a really hot guy as the profile picture. begin to talk to her, get her really interested. meet up with her on a blind date, when she sees you, smile yell, "gotcha, ****!" and move on. :)

There's light at the end of the tunnel! This same exact situation happened to my dad when my mom left him after 22 years together... and now he has a great girlfriend who is a much better match for him, and he's SO much happier and carries less stress. It will get better with time.

Possibly the only reason the OP and the OP's ex-wife were put together as a best match, was because they have so many things in common. You ever notice when you marry someone or even date them, how you pick up things from them? They probably (still) live in the same area, and enjoy the same things. Plus, they got married, so at some point, it worked. Since they were married 20+ years, they probably have tons in common, even if their marriage failed.

That, uh.... That sucks pretty bad. On the one hand, you don't need a cheater. On the other hand, a computer database says that she is perfect for you. Ouch.
