Today, I took my girlfriend to a public place before confessing that I've been seeing another woman, to avoid a dramatic scene. After being rushed to the hospital with a concussion and broken nose, I think it's safe to say my plan didn't go very well. FML

HAHAHA hese comments are hilarious. Do you know how much shit you people would flip if a guy gave a girl a concussion and a broken nose after finding out she was cheating? I notice many of the YDI comments are from females. Apparently it's only wrong when men hit women, but women can beat the **** out of any guy and be praised on the internet. WTF I'm out.

My thoughts exactly! Violence either is never or always condoned; you can't have it both ways. I love all the "At least you told her..." comments too. Why is this considered noble on his part? Cheaters tell to clear their own conscious. Telling her the truth instead of just breaking it off only serves him not her!

Bahaha yeah, you're right. I only said what I said about him deserving what he got for cheating, although I never thought about it if it was actually the girl. Hmmm. You made me think twice about what I said, although if a girl cheated I personally think she deserves whatever she gets from the guy she cheated on, too. Most of the time (I think) guys aren't aggressive. *shrugs*

I could be wrong but does "seeing another woman" necessarily mean you have been cheating on her, if so go hang yourself. If you just started having feelings for someone else and wanted to break it off with her then I guess you did your best but u deserve what you had coming

Maybe not physically cheating on her. But seeing another woman doesn't mean that they haven't done anything. They probably would have gone out on dates, kissed and who is to say it didn't go further? Just because he didn't sleep with someone doesn't mean it isn't cheating.

"Seeing" typically means dating, at the least. Dating behind your girlfriend's back is cheating, period. Out side of the need for STD testing, sex is really not at issue when comes to being unfaithful

I can bet all of Donald Trump's money that if this was switched and she had cheated on him and he had given her a broken nose and concussion, people would be all 'wife beater! evil low life etc etc!' but since a woman did the damage it's okay? Hypocrites. It's never okay to do that to someone who has not struck you, hurt, angry or not.

well, i might be the exception here, but im going to say that i tend to ignore the double standard, does this mean that i approve of violence here, no, but all the same, when 90% of the time you ignore the double standard you are either an asshole or sexist, it can be hard to live up to the idea of true equality, and so quite a lot of people fall into the double standard because its all they know how to do right, so getting mad at them isn't going to solve anything. hopefully some of this creates discussion, but either way, think on what i just said please
