Today, I walked to Starbucks. On the way a homeless guy asked me for change and I lied and said I had no money. On my way back, Strawberry Frappuccino in hand, the same guy recognized me. He followed me for 3 blocks, swearing and yelling at me. FML

Haha. This happened to me once, just keep on walking and drop a couple of quarters to keep him occupied while you make an escape.

If they ask you for money, its unlikely that they are homeless. They've done studies on it, where they've followed the people around and things - most of the people who ask for spare change go "home" to million dollar houses because they make so much money from the spare change. The ones who are truly homeless dont ask for money - they offer an exchange of work for food because they know food is the most important thing, and they only do that when they can't scavenge enough in the first place

I remember I was with a big group and we all gave a bum money. I think he ended up with $200. Enough for a hooker and some blow! Probably gave him a heartattack. If anybody in Baltimore found a dead bum outside M&T Bank Stadium last year, it was my fault. Sorry.

you shouldnt have to give a homeless person money and feel bad for it. you should pepper spray them haha if they kept bothering you. its not your obligation to give money to someone who can't even make their own money.

I normally make an annoyed face when they are too persistent, only giving some change when im in a good mood. Well, at least a feel a bit of compassion to them : P poor guys ... couldn't do it on their own ...

I heard of a country in which bums/homeless people don't ask for change or bother pedestrians, while the pedestrians ignore the bums completely. Its cause the bums don't want to bother others with their problems. Wanna know what country im talking about? It sure as hell aint the US

Walk by a police officer next time. I've always been afraid of that happening to me. I hate it when people ask for money and pressure me. An idea is to carry like mcdonalds coupons. They have $1 hamburgers, so they're not too bad. And it can't be used for crack, meth, or pot.
