Were u able to move your lips and fingers? if so, don't rely on others when in pain!
that's cruel
Denying medical care is child abuse. If they did it, call child services and drop the heavy end of the hammer on the peckerslurps.
this kind of shit pisses me off. I understand that a lot of children exaggerate but there are times when they are in serious pain and may be injured. My girlfriends mom is the same way, my gf had complained of severe back pain for weeks to her mom and she had passed it off and told her to take an advil. She woke up new years eve with incredible pain and couldnt move, turns out she had frayed the muscle connecting her shoulder to her neck and it tore that night. I ended up having to drive her in the dark during the snow and rain to get her checked out cuz her mom STILL didnt believe her
A frayed muscle isn't that serious... Lot's of people live with them for years without getting it diagnosed. Certainly not worth wasting ER time for on a snowy night when there are a lot of accidents as it is and people who actually need help. Good going.
True, though as i said it had been frayed for weeks and that night the muscle tore apart, leaving her in excruciating pain. Anyone with half a heart would not be able to sit there while she struggled to move and cried in pain. Yea, i agree with you about the danger of driving in those conditions, so did she, but any competent driver should have no problem, the point of mentioning the snow and rain was to further prove the fact that her mother was irresponsible and i was forced to take action in the absence of hers. thanks though!
I didn't say the driving conditions were dangerous for you. I said the ERs are full of people who actually need "emergency" care and you were wasting their time on what was probably a very busy night.
If your g/f is old enough to have a boyfriend who can drive her to the ER like a white knight, than she is old enough to get it checked out by the family doctor or, if she doesn't have one, at the family doctor. The ER is not the place to go if you have a chronic problem which is what the pain you are describing is. She could have saved you the trip had she dealt with it responsibly instead of blaming her mom.
Why Yarrachel? Because I think people who have been in accidents in snowy weather shouldn't have to wait longer to see a doctor when they're actually in need of treatment because some girl with a pain that's been going on for a while decided to cry about something that quite obviously wasn't serious(not a sudden pain, not caused from an accident and not preventing her from moving) so she could waste doctors time by being told to make an appointment with her family doctor like she should have done in the first place to discuss treatment? Yeah... righto.
Provided you're not exaggerating your symptoms (which you should know by now based on what the doctor said when you did get there) you should call an ambulance if it ever happens again. Let your parents learn their lesson when they see that bill.
YDI for being hurt when a game is on. lol

when I broke my collar bone, and was screaming in agony, asking my dad to drive me to hospital, my dad told me "to stop complaining, nothings wrong, and besides, I'm sending an e-mail" this man is supposed to be a fully trained emergency responder. So I feel your pain.
Your parents sure do love you.
