Today, I was working at a donation center. I was having a really rough day, so my fiancée dropped me off some cookies. At the end of my shift, the manager told me I couldn't take them home because they were donated and therefore they were "company property." FML

You'd think people that work in donation centers would be nicer than that. FML OP

You're working at a donation centre, therefore you volunteer, right? Well if that's the case you have nothing to lose by telling him to stick it and walking out.

Silly manager, he just wanted to steal the cookies; optimistic response: I guess your fiancee is a good baker. Real response: never let someone steal your cookies - don't let 'im treat you like that!

Because it totally makes sense that perishables would be seriously donated for sale by any company, whether it be private or corporate owned. Honestly who goes to Good Will to buy donated cookies? Your manager is an ass.

If you quickly shovelled them down your throat, would the poop they'd make become company property?

The cookies were not a donation to the centre but a gift for you. Tell him to stick it and take those cookies home.

'yes well, the donator specified that he wanted his beneficiary to be well, me.'

I'm pretty sure that was a joke...and your manager is hilarious.

He's stupid she didn't donate them to the company she have them to you there's a difference and I for one would have told him to **** off
