Today, I went to a restaurant with a girl I really liked. She started crying when an overweight family walked in and loudly sobbed about how the parents were "murdering" their children. This made the father of that family try to fight me. FML

I'm sorry about OP's situation but I also hate seeing parents, especially with very young kids that are obesity overweight, feeding them "ridiculous" amounts of fatty foods and not showing them healthier ways of living. Yes, they're not my kids and may not be directly my business but I'm just stating my opinion. And yes, it may be genetics but not when they're feeding a young child fried everything and then saying they're over weight due to health reasons. That's more the reason to watch what they eat. Again just my opinion.

She needs to learn to keep her mouth shut. Some people are overweight because of genetics, health problems, hormonal imbalances etc. FYL OP.

they shouldn't have gone out to eat at a restaurant then. the amount of calories even in the "healthy meals" at restaurants are ridiculous. there are fat people who do have health issues causing them to be overweight. however that's not an excuse to continuously eat 5000 calories a day.

How do you know what kind of restaurant they went out to? A date once took me to an all organic vegan restaurant for a date. Don't assume they were at some fatty Italian place.

158 - You don't know that at all. You can doubt all you want, but seriously, there are tons of options out there on the "lighter" menu, wherever you go. True, some of them are calorie laden, but most of them are less than what they'd be eating at home.

And just because someone is overweight does not mean they can't enjoy good food sometimes. Maybe they are trying to lose and have been eating clean for awhile so now they're enjoying a good meal as a treat.

My apologies, what I really meant to say was... FYL OP for being attracted to a person who doesn't know any manners at all (if she found it offensive in any way, she could have told OP and they could have just decided not to go there again or something)...
