From attending my fair share of 12-step meetings, you don't get "banned" or booed for making a mistake. I doubt a meeting would ban you if you went there weekly. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using; at least where I live, banning doesn't exist as it could jeopardize one's recovery.
