First off you should never leave home without cash. What if the guy turned out to be a huge dillhole and; split, left you for dead, traded you for smack, took you to a 1 direction concert. Not only do people sometimes go Dutch in this day and age but you should always have an out.
as much as that sucks you should never assume and bring money just in case. I always offered to buy the popcorn and drinks if my date bought the movie tickets but maybe that's just me.
Don't assume. It makes an ass out of you and me.
Always carry some cash around so you can be prepared for the unexpected!
What if something happened you never know when you'll need extra cash. Even if he was planning on paying for the movie you could at least offer to buy some popcorn or something
Don't ever assume. It makes an ass out of u & me but in this case it's u..

Never, ever, assume
Contrary to popular belief it's ignorant to be so confident in this "rule" that you don't bring your own money, I believe it was totally deserved in this case. This doesn't mean I don't believe the guy should pay though so don't get confused.
