Is it really that hard to not use your phone in class? If its an emergency, explain to teacher, or ask to go to the bathroom or something and use it. And here's an idea, try actually paying attention in class instead of messing with your phone!
STFU
My teacher took away my ipod for the day when i went back for it she said she hasnt seen it, someone had stolen it
OP is in Canada, not US.
Dang
Even though you shouldn't play with it in class...they could have asked you to put it away...I would have gone oft at em!!
send him/her the bill!
50/50 fault. Both are responsible.
U should get ur teacher to fix pay for the repairs of ur phone since its her fault
To all you people saying certain authorities should get involved, and lawsuites and this and that, do you really think the system would give a shit about a broken phone screen? They have more important cases to deal with.
Yeah. And if the op wants to bring a lawsuit against them they could legally do it. It would be small claims court and likely the situation would be cut and dry with the judge ordering the school or teacher to repay the student/their parents.

Make sure she pays for that
You probably could make her pay for it. Sure you weren't supposed to be using it in class, but that deserved confiscating, not BREAKING. (Also don't they have cases and stuff that you can get so that kind of shit doesn't happen? Otter box or something?)
