Granted my high school was a boarding school, so kids having cellphones was common, hell, having them on during class was common, if you do something to get it confiscated it's your own damn fault. Your life isn't ******, your phone is. I've had an iPod touch for years now, and I don't understand how people 'drop' them so often and break the screens. Are people that clumsy or careless with expensive electronics? Really?
You deserve to have your phone taken for using it in class. Unless you happened to forget to silence it, then that sucks. And some of you guys may think texting only bothers you. When people texted around me at school, it affected me, majorly. I have a couple disorders and I couldn't focus on the teacher and lesson with clicking going on beside me. But, while you deserve to lose your phone for using it. You did not deserve to have it broken. That sucks, so yes, FYL.
I use the apple iDoc at Appleidoc.com. They are the best around.
U can go to the cops n charge her with stealing private property and vandalism to ur phone. Seen it done b4 n the been charged
By law if she confiscates it she is responsible for the safekeeping of it
The teacher should pay for it if you were using it in class ya they may take it my school does that a lot but if my teacher broke my phone I would be pissed to and I would want them to pay for it

Make sure she pays for that
You probably could make her pay for it. Sure you weren't supposed to be using it in class, but that deserved confiscating, not BREAKING. (Also don't they have cases and stuff that you can get so that kind of shit doesn't happen? Otter box or something?)
